The Bureau of the FIFA Council has approved a Normalisation Committee to manage the Nigeria Football Federation while the body prepares fresh executive elections. FIFA and the Confederation of African Football will jointly appoint its members; the NFF says the group’s mandate ends when its tasks are complete and no later than May 31, 2027. Committee members will be barred from contesting the elections, while the NFF Secretariat continues day-to-day operations until appointments are made. The move follows the resignation of the federation’s president, general secretary and executive members in August.
