Formula 1 and the FIA confirmed on July 26 that Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit will host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix from October 2 through 4.
The unusual arrangement keeps Bahrain as the named Grand Prix while moving the event to Malaysia. It places the race between the Azerbaijan and Singapore rounds and returns Formula 1 competition to Sepang after an extended absence.
The original Bahrain race did not proceed in April after Formula 1 and the FIA cited regional security concerns connected to the Iran conflict. The October event remains subject to final agreements and official sign-off, a qualification included in Formula 1's announcement.
Fans planning travel should therefore rely on the final ticketing and operational notices from Formula 1 and Sepang rather than treating preliminary schedules or unofficial offers as confirmed.
